Baptist Memorial Mechanic - JS Plant Operations Facility Services MBMC in Jackson, Mississippi
Summary
Handles duties relating to general maintenance of plumbing, electrical and minor construction repair issues. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Performs general maintenance to various buildings, departments and office areas as directed.
Performs preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and safety equipment in and around the facility.
Performs general repairs to facility systems, plumbing, electrical, wall mounted items and minor construction issues.
Replace acoustical ceiling tiles.
Completes assigned tasks.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Preferred: High School graduate or equivalent
Minimum: Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
Preferred: 5 years of experience in construction or general maintenance in a healthcare setting.
Licensure, Registration, Certification
Minimum: DRIVER'S LICENSE (CURRENT)
Special Skills
Minimum: Ability to operate saws and other related carpentry tools.
Training
Preferred: Completion of Vocational or Technical Training Program is desired but not required for hire
