Eaton’s EPG CHD EP LATAM division is currently seeking a Ingeniero de Procesos.

What you’ll do:

MAIN FUNCTION

Is responsible for ensuring that all production processes of the ECHI plant have the necessary technical support to maintain a technologically updated, efficient and safe production plant for operational personnel, and that it guarantees the quality, compliance with specifications and adequate performance necessary for the world-class manufacture of products, through the automation of processes and i4.0 Solutions that minimize risks for personnel, promote the care and preservation of the environment, and contribute to generate a culture of continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity and sustainability aligned with the fulfillment of Eaton's financial and aspirational goals.

ACTIVITIES

  1. Ensures that the production processes of the ECHI plant have the necessary technical support, process controls, work instructions, CNC machine programs, procedures, necessary technology, tooling and devices for product manufacturing,

  2. It ensures that the risks and unsafe conditions identified in the plant are eliminated through continuous improvement and actively participates as Champion and CO-Champion in the different categories of the MESH safety program.

  3. Projects associated with the i4.0 strategy to ensure the technological update of the plant improving productivity, safety, quality and support for digitalization and sustainability strategies aligned with the fulfillment of Eaton's aspirational goals.

  4. Ensures the planning, execution on time and within budget of CAPEX projects under its responsibility in accordance with the policies established by Eaton.

  5. It contributes to the generation of Savings projects to contribute to the fulfillment of the annual savings objective of the manufacturing department, as well as FLEX and Cost Productivity of the plant.

  6. Performs supplier evaluation in conjunction with Sourcing to ensure that external manufacturing processes can guarantee the quality of Eaton's products in accordance with product engineering specifications.

  7. Actively participates in the implementation of the Eaton Business System (EBS) as Champion - Co-champion - Tool Expert of tools such as EQMS, MESH, PROLaunch, ELSS, etc.

  8. It contributes to maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications by ensuring the technical definitionsof operation of the plant's production processes, continuously auditing compliance with work instructions and participates as an internal auditor and in quality, safety and environmental audits.

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

Schooling: Bachelor's degree in any Engineering.

Experience: More than 3 years of experience in:

  • Knowledge or Certification in advanced CNC programming.

  • Advanced knowledge in cutting tools and fastening systems.

  • CAD-CAM, Machine Foot Programming, Renishaw Probe Macro Modification.

  • Heart processes (cold box, hot box).

  • Green molding processes, permanent mold.

  • Die casting processes (HPDC).

  • Advanced knowledge of liquid metal treatments for green, permanent and die punishment molding processes.

  • 3D Printing

  • Development of CAPEX Projects.

  • Project management.

  • Advanced knowledge in Robotics and process automation.

  • Advanced English

  • Knowledge in Continuous Improvement tools TPM, SUR, 5Ss, standard work, Lean Material Flow, RIE, Six Sigma.

  • Green Belt (Desirable)

Experience

As a manufacturing engineer in metalworking industry.
