We are searching for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Controlling team in our Irving, Texas North American headquarters.
What you’ll get to do
Assist with the monthly, quarterly and annual Close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries, in accordance with the company's direction and regional reporting requirements
Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations. Maintain supporting schedules. Reconcile discrepancies
Assistance with lease accounting, internal controls and other reporting tasks
Perform special projects and analysis as directed, including purchase price allocation for acquisitions, ESG reporting and Government Grants
Assist team with the annual external audit
Assist in the development and implementation of process initiatives related to month end close, financial reporting, and business operations
Ensure compliance with accounting and reporting standards
Essential Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience
Understanding of accounting theory, current accounting issues, and accounting systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills and must be able to communicate effectively with various departments throughout the organization
A proven track record in managing tasks, meeting deadlines, and working collaboratively as part of a team
Commitment and engagement through high level of work ethic and utilization of abilities for the best of the company, demonstrated drive and initiative
Performance and result management
Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability
Ability to analyze business conditions and build partnerships across functions
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects/priorities
Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills
Ability to be responsive and persuasive at all levels of the organization
Understanding of financial statements and accounting relationships
Preferred Experience and Skills
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
Public accounting experience is preferred
Experience and knowledge with IFRS is a plus
Experience with SAP and Essbase is a plus
