Citigroup Data Governance Sr Manager - C13 (Hybrid) in Irving, Texas

The Data Governance Lead is a position in Citi’s Chief Data Office (CDO) within the Chief Operating Office (COO) organization. The mandate of COO is to lead the Transformation efforts of the firm to deliver client excellence, improved operating efficiency and returns. As part of COO, the CDO organization is responsible for an enterprise-wide effort to transform and strengthen the firm’s data, modernize data infrastructure while simplifying the data operating model and executing the strategic priorities for the firm. The CDO defines and enforces data-related policies and standards across Citi and equips the firm with the tools required to take ownership and accountability for data governance and management. The CDO comprises of four functional groups: Business Aligned Data Leads, Core Data Delivery, Data Enablers, and Data Functions & Partners.

This position will support the COO & CBNA CDO to adopt a data culture and data-driven mindset; partner with COO stakeholders to drive compliance with the Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP) and the Citi Data Governance Standard (CDGS) and adoption of data governance capabilities; and provide input into and report on metrics that measure progress and risk reduction.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of compliance with policies/standards (e.g., data quality) and adoption of data governance capabilities.

  • Support effective project management capabilities for COO & CBNA to deliver its portion of the data transformation program.

  • Support implementation of data initiatives (e.g., use cases specific to COO)

  • Facilitate or contribute to status meetings (recurring and ad-hoc) with required stakeholder communities (including senior management) by preparing materials and updates, summarizing issues and risks, defining agreed action items and next steps.

  • Enable clear and transparent reporting of program status to the Executive Management Team.

  • Support execution against multiple contending priorities simultaneously and various ad-hoc projects critical to the COO organization as well as researching and drafting materials for presentations for ‘deep dives’ into topics.

  • Communicating to senior management effectively and concisely key information regarding key interactions and governance forums, distilling the key outcomes of the meetings and conducting follow-ups.

Experience

  • 5+ years overall business management experience in a complex, financial organization, with particular focus in data space highly preferred.

  • 3-5 years in data and technology, at least 3 in data management preferred.

  • 3+ years in finance industry

  • 3+ years in executive / strategy role

Skills

  • Strong data and technological knowledge, covering recent topics such data governance, data domains.

  • Engage, influence, and collaborate with business stakeholders for prioritization of the Data Governance Plan

  • Proven ability to execute large complex change programs

• Analytical ability to develop and implement new concepts and tools

Education

  • Bachelors/University degree preferred

  • Data Quality/Data Management Certification preferred.

$125,760.00 - $188,640.00
