We are looking for experienced, innovative and motivated IT Specialists to support enablement US AFRICOM’s mission objectives.

What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Network Engineer . This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, USAFRICOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS.

Responsibilities:

Network Design and Implementation:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design network solutions accordingly.

  • Deploy and configure network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

Network Security:

  • Implement and maintain network security protocols to protect against unauthorized access and security breaches.

  • Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and implement security measures to safeguard data.

  • Stay current on industry best practices and emerging security threats.

Network Troubleshooting and Optimization:

  • Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity, performance, and reliability problems.

  • Conduct regular network performance assessments and implement optimization strategies.

  • Collaborate with vendors and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and processes.

  • Generate regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and capacity planning.

  • Provide clear and concise documentation for network troubleshooting and resolution procedures.

Network Monitoring and Management:

  • Implement and maintain network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.

  • Respond to alerts and incidents in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

  • Perform routine network audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS + 7 years recent specialized or AA/AS + 9 years recent specialized or a major cert + 11 years recent specialized or 13 years of recent specialized experience

  • DOD 8570 IAT 3 compliance.

  • Active Secret Clarence (no waiver) and ability acquire TS/SCI clearance.

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or a similar role.

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certifications are a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and security best practices.

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • TESA eligibility

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
