Make a Difference

The Provider Relations Analyst is primarily responsible for doing provider education and serving as a liaison to providers for employed and non-employed providers and facilities within the Community Health Direct Network. This position is also responsible for developing and implementing effective service strategies, assists in the developing, negotiating, and maintaining relationships with providers and facilities. This position requires the ability to think critically, work independently, and make decisions based on internal financial arrangements and external market factors. In addition, maintain knowledge of Community Health Direct Network products as it relates to the providers’ contract. This position will require traveling to various Community Health Network sites of care on an as needed basis.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related health care field from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience is required.

  • In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in provider relations in a managed care setting is preferred.

  • Understanding of provider contracting and contract review.

  • Maintains current knowledge of the Managed Care environment and payer partners.

  • Communicates information to the appropriate internal sources.

  • Assists in maintaining payer/provider relationships.

  • Maintains, verifies and audits payer information for practices and providers.

  • Must have excellent communication skills (both written and oral), as well as interpersonal and team-building skills necessary for effective customer partnerships.

  • Knowledge of contracts, contract negotiations, and general managed care principles is essential.

  • Must be able to work independently, problem solve and make appropriate decisions within the scope of the job role.

  • Knowledge of process improvement in a Managed Care environment.
