POSITION SUMMARY:

The Residential Pricing department is seeking a high-energy and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Pricing Manager. This position will lead a team of pricing analysts.

The Residential Pricing team is a key part of the Residential HVAC Sales & Marketing department. The team’s mission is to facilitate strategic and profitable growth. This requires analysis and support of pricing and marketing programs to ensure market competitiveness across a wide breadth of brands and product lines. Strong communication skills are required to interface daily with external customers in our two-step distribution environment. The successful candidate will understand product, be familiar with differences across regional markets, and work closely with internal sales and product teams to develop strategic and sustainable pricing strategies. This role has exposure to leadership and a broad spectrum of business activities, making it a great platform for career growth within the organization.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and motivate a team of pricing analysts focused on pricing account management

  • Ensure accurate, consistent, and timely responses are provided for a variety of pricing requests with varying levels of analytical requirements and turnaround times

  • Evaluate, approve, and track the effectiveness of pricing actions

  • Develop cost-benefit analyses, financial impact analyses, and competitive analyses of price structures to lead successful price negotiations

  • Advise external customers and internal sales teams on pricing strategies to drive customer acquisition, retention and growth, and meet profitability targets

  • Manage multiple requests from a large spectrum of customers and brands, ensuring regional alignment and competitiveness

  • Monitor trends across multiple regions to identify potential macro pricing issues

  • Conduct financial analysis to review sales performance for key accounts

  • Proactively identify actionable metrics about product, portfolio and segment mix and opportunities to leverage change

  • Monitor processes and generate solutions to drive team efficiency and process improvements

  • Maintain and audit customer price structures

  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 5+ years’ experience working in a complex business environment with a focus in pricing, market analysis, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A).

  • 2+ years of people management experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MA/MS degree

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into easily understood formats

  • Strong ability to lead and develop diverse, cross functional project teams to achieve high levels of performance in a dynamic, changing environment

  • Intermediate to advanced level skills with analytical tools including Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to complete data requests timely, accurately, and thoroughly

  • Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal

  • Passion for serving customers; ability to listen to customer needs and quickly act to solve their problems, provide quality solutions, and go above and beyond to exceed their expectations

  • Proven capacity to communicate professionally in written and verbal format across a wide audience

  • Familiarity with PowerBI and SAP

  • Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset

  • Ability to utilize available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines

  • Ability to design and conduct a systematic, objective, and critical investigation
