What you’ll do:

"Eaton - MTL has an opening for a Electronics hardware design engineer. This position will be based in Chennai, India.

The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop of different verticals of industrial domain products. Redesigning product to meet backward compatibility and comply with relevant standards.

• In depth experience in the Micro Controller / Processor based electronics design is a primary requirement. Strong basics on electronics based design is highly desirable.

• Understanding of requirements product specification and customer requirements is required

• Need to develop new product and sustain enggineering support new production development and sustaining activities of existing products as subject matter expert.

• Should work as an individual contributor

• Having design simulation experience is a plus

• Working knowledge of overall design engineering processes encompassing ""Design - Developement - Testing - Product Launch"" is required.

• Provide manufacturability perspective for early concepts and help validate through building appropriate designs. Assist with building prototypes that help in proof of concept and work with all different stake holders"

"The candidate in this position will be responsible to:

• Design electronics product for industrial domain.

• Working with layout resources, design reviews with Global design leaders.

-Develop the interfaces between the electronic and mechanical parts of the system.

• Qualifying certification aspects of the product and apply the same while development.

• Bring in best practice from other parts of the company and from outside the company to avoid unnecessary learning cycles.

• Develop prototypes of the new product for manufacturing.

• Support to production team in relation for sustaining the product manufacturing.

• Develop design notes for designs and test cases for board bring-up.

• Work with cross functional team to launch the product."

Qualifications:

B.E/B.Tech in any one of Electrical / Electronics /Instrumentation Engineering

Bachelor's degree - 5 to 7 years experience in Electronics Hardware design & development

Skills:

"• Possesses strong skills in Analog and Digital electronics.

• Aware of Schematic capture, PCB design

• Rigorous, methodical approach to design and problem solving.

• Exposure to SPICE simulation analysis.

• Good report and documentation writing skills.

• Good in Component selection and specification.

• Good understanding of EMI/EMC and their impact on hardware is mandatory.

• Developmental Testing skills like functional & environmental and reliability testing.

• Failure Mode Effect Analysis of designed product.

• Take projects from concept to full deployment."
