About the Role

The Gap Inc. Technology Center is the largest apparel retail technology center in Hyderabad, India. We are focused on building next-generation solutions that will transform the way customers interact with our family of iconic brands - Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, and Athleta. Commencing operations in 2017, our center is responsible for leading and transforming the IT sphere of the company by creating and driving capabilities across digital technology, data sciences, marketing and automation.

We are looking for UI experts to join us as Senior Software Engineer in the Gap Inc. Technology Center in Hyderabad!

What You'll Do

• Design and develop applications with an eye towards simplicity, reliability, manageability, scalability, extensibility, performance and reusability.

• Perform requirement analyses.

• Develop high-quality and detailed designs.

• Identify risk and conducting mitigation action planning.

• Use coding standards and best practices to ensure quality.

• Perform code reviews and suggest coding practices to team.

• Agile best practices and help team deliver on time.

• Responsible for Story preparation, development of code, writing automated unit and integration test, getting sign-off from manager, deployment, monitoring and maintenance of code.

• Design, implement and launch highly-visible features for our retail platform using Test/Behaviour Driven Development practices and support the operations of the product in production.

• Continuously grow his/her skills and value through pair programming and code reviews.

• Practice relentless automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps.

• Work collaboratively with technical and business team members to develop and maintain business solutions following Agile development principles and practices.

• Flexible to be available on call as per project need.

• Should able to work independently.

Who You Are

• Strong hands-on development experience on ReactJS , NextJS, Nodejs.

• Strong hands-on development experience on JavaScript,HTML5,CSS/SASS,ES6.

• Having knowledge on Next.js and Tailwind css.

• Experience in creating UI layouts / themes.

• knowledge in packaging / deploy UI applications into cloud.

• Experience in UI profiling tools and debugging.

• Experience UI design patterns.

• Strong working knowledge of Continuous integration tools like Jenkins or Github actions.

• Strong working knowledge of Code Quality tools/frameworks like Sonar.

• Strong knowledge of Automated Testing, Unit Testing, Integration Testing.

• Good knowledge of Agile development methodologies

It would be a big plus if you have the below experience:

• Working knowledge of RESTful APIs.

• Experience with Cloud preferably Azure

• Experience with Tailwind css

• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like New Relic, Grafana, Splunk etc.
