The Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E) team is working to enable an easier experience for customers and partners to grow, as well as to buy and do business with us by delivering a dependable, safe and secure commerce infrastructure. Our Ecosystems team is committed to driving discovery and awareness of Microsoft within our ecosystem of products and services, as well as reaching technical communities around the globe.

As part of Commerce + Ecosystem (C+E) within Cloud + Artificial Intelligence (C+AI), we are focused on enabling and optimizing the end-to-end customer journey for all Microsoft products, services, and channels. Our team is the C+E Studio – we are User Experience professionals (UXers) at our core, care deeply about our customers and each other, and love connecting the dots that cut across business siloes, tools and processes so we can build better experiences.

That is where you come in: we are searching for a Senior Designer to join us in reimagining and designing end-to-end commerce and ecosystem experiences. We are looking for designer who can understand and is comfortable with complex problems, conceptualize creative solutions, be at fore front of designing Generative Artificial intelligence experiences, has a solid user centered product design process, and has a diverse portfolio.

As a Senior product Designer on our C+E Studio team, you will work together with researchers, product managers, engineers and other designers to shape product experiences by designing a product vision and deliver cohesive product experience with agility.

Responsibilities

  • Leads design of an enterprise product with accountability and maintains cohesion with the existing design system.

  • Envisions innovative experiences based on deep understanding of user needs and goals.

  • Crafts a story around WHY, WHAT, and HOW for experience and design outputs like prototype, video, or storyboards.

  • Works on the design details with passion for shipping product quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail and thinks strategically about evolving the experience based on feedback and emerging technology.

  • Works collaboratively with other designers, researchers, PMs, and developers without org boundaries to plan, design and deliver right solutions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant design experience in product or UX design.

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in product design, HCI (human-computer interaction), interaction design, industrial design, communication design, architecture, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep expertise of fundamental design and user experience principles (typography, iconography, composition, color, layout, working with JTBD, etc.).

  • Experience shipping innovative and complex web or software products.

  • Strong critical thinking throughout the end-to-end product lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work cross functionally with other teams (Engineering, Research, Data & Program Management).

  • Effective storytelling, communication & presentation skills.

A portfolio demonstrating breadth and creativity and proven experience in creating end to end vision, building UI models, generating detailed designs, information architecture, developing prototypes, and delivering detailed designs to engineering with measurable impact.
