Amazon Business Analyst I, Transparency in Hyderabad, India

Description

Transparency represents an incredible opportunity to raise retail industry standards around authenticity, product transparency, and supply chain tracking. We are focused on building a global service which allows consumer brands and consumers to trace the origin of items throughout the supply chain ensuring only authentic items enter the supply chain. The Transparency service is focused on preventing the receipt and sale of counterfeit goods both online and offline. Our customers include individual consumer brands who sell both on and off of Amazon directly or through a network of direct and third-party sellers.

Transparency is looking for an exceptional Business Analyst who loves solving complex problems to drive analysis and insights to help our teams make meaningful business decisions. The person should have a detailed understanding of a business requirement or the ability to quickly get to the root cause of a particular business issue, and draft solutions to meet requirements or resolve the root problems. You will work closely with program managers and product managers to analyze massive data sets, identify areas to improve, define metrics to measure and monitor programs, and most importantly work with different stakeholders to drive improvements over time. You will also work closely with internal teams to extract or mine information from our existing systems to create new analysis, and expose data from our group to wider teams in intuitive ways.

· Will have relevant experience in data analytics working with large data sets using various tools and technologies

· Will transform data into actionable business information, and will make it readily accessible to stakeholders worldwide

· Will use data to support ideas, drive actionable outcomes, and provide unique ways to present data and information in an easy to consume format

· Will be passionate about finding root causes, trends, and patterns and how they impact business.

· Will draw inferences and conclusions, create dashboards and visualizations of processed data

· Will have business and communication skills to be able to work with product owners to understand key business questions to build reports that enable product owners to answer those questions quickly and accurately

. Will be very comfortable juggling competing priorities and handling ambiguity

. Will thrive in an agile and fast-paced environment on highly visible projects and initiatives

A day in the life

As a Business Analyst, you will help develop an analytic solution to drive deep dives, provide insights and measure business impact. You will transform data into actionable business information, and will make it readily accessible to stakeholders worldwide. You will own the design, creation, and management of extremely large datasets. From Day 1, you will be challenged with a variety of tasks, ranging from creating datasets, reports, dashboards to metadata modeling, pipeline monitoring. You will interact with internal program and product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements, structure scalable and perform data solutions, and gain a deep understanding of key datasets.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using very large datasets
