BR&T is seeking a motivated and talented Chemical Technical Specialist specializing in analytical chemistry and aerospace finishing systems. We are seeking an Entry or Associate level Specialist to join our team to join our Chemical Technology team located at the Boeing facility in Huntington Beach, California .

The Huntington Beach team is looking for chemistry support for the Enterprise Boeing programs. The successful candidate will have experience working in a laboratory environment and will be familiar with basic laboratory instrumentation. The laboratory support is expected to include analytical chemistry, chemical processing, contamination control, and surface analysis. Experience with laboratory safety procedures is desired and familiarity with how a chemistry lab integrates into other engineering laboratories is desired as well.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides basic assistance to support the development, documentation, implementation and basic consultation on the application of engineering tools, processes and standards

  • Assists with the integration of engineering designs

  • Assists in the identification and validation of user access roles

  • Assists with the development and implementation of standards

  • Assists in the development, maintenance and distribution of engineering documents, reports and correspondence to enable business activity

  • Collects engineering performance metrics and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs

  • Works under close supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

  • 1 + years’ experience working in a laboratory environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 + years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 1+ years’ experience in a laboratory environment following safety protocols

  • On track to receive a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

Typical Education/Experience:

Entry (Level 1):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. 4 years' related work experience).

Associate (Level 2):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense

Summary pay range Entry Level: $59,500 - $80,500

Summary pay range Associate Level: $76,500 - $103,500
