We are looking for:

  • To perform for one or more than one site, HSE assignments within one discipline and develop proposals to improve HSE departmental performance.

We count on you for:

  • Maintain updated about own domain. Maintain updated about and interpret relevant local, national, and international HSE legislation and regulations. Keep updated about new developments within the HSE domain, and evaluate their potential use in the own perimeter. Collect, study, and document best practices within own field of expertise. Maintain updated knowledge of the HSE aspects of the products and installations within own perimeter

  • Deploy Group HSE policies, objectives, programs and tools. Deploy and follow up the Group HSE policies, objectives, programs and tools. Review and propose site-specific adaptations and improvements to Group HSE programs and tools. Might test new Group HSE programs and tools (if site as designated as Pilot site). Deploy and follow up the site specific HSE objectives, (improvement) programs and tools. Specify and select HSE tools and methods

  • Ensure continuous improvement of Site HSE performance. Keep updated about planned developments (new or changed products or installations) within the own site and assess the measures to be taken from an HSE point of view. Develop, propose and draft HSE procedures and handbooks. Deploy HSE involvement, awareness and education programs for employees and subcontractors, and develop and distribute safety manuals, bulletins, films and other visual aids.

  • Ensure compliance with HSE policy, standards, rules and local legislation. Ensure operations and products comply with applicable HSE regulations and company HSE policies. Investigate all accidents, ‘near misses’ and environmental incidents/non-conformities; analyze causes and recommend corrective actions. Ensure the proper use of HSE procedures and devices and act to eliminate any potentially hazardous or unsafe condition. Perform ad hoc HSE visits and regular inspections. Participate in HSE audits and contribute to the identification and recommendation of measures.

  • Provide expertise, information, advice and support to the Site organization. Train or assist in training of employees and subcontractors in HSE matters. Provide information to relevant parties regarding to changes in HSE legislation and environmental matters. Provide HSE expertise to Syensqo employees, on de3mand and/or on own initiative. Provide advice regarding HSE aspects to take into account in the design and construction of new equipment, facilities and processes.

  • Provide HSE reporting to the Group and GBU management. Apply HSE KPIs and/or monitoring methodology. Collect, analyze and report all kinds of information regarding to the performance of the entity. Coordinate all administrative activities for the HSE Management System.

  • Ensure the dialogue with authorities, local communities and other main stakeholders. Negotiate with public authorities regarding HSE matters under supervision of the Site HSE Manager. Represent the site towards external control agencies during environmental and safety audits. Prepare all necessary HSE documentation to various stakeholders.

  • Manage the entity - Archive and keep up-to-date all (technical) documentation. 9. Manage the staff - Inform colleagues about and/or train them in new methods, procedures and techniques. Support and advice staff in the resolution of complex problems.

  • A. EXPERIENCE :

  • • Minimum 1-3 years in Chemical Plant in an area of HSE or related

  • • Experience in HSE

  • • Knowledge Process safety, Safety legal, requirement

  • B. EDUCATION :

  • • Bachelor/ Master Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry or related field. Occupational Health, HSE or higher in chemical or related

  • • Knowledge of Management systems and Productivity/ Process Improvement such as 5S, TPM, OEE, TQM, Lean manufacturing etc.

  • • Problem solving and decision making knowledge

  • C. OTHERS :

  • • Leadership skill, motivation and effective supervision skills, self-confidence • Six Sigma knowledge is required as hold certificate of Greenbelt is benefit • Productivity; TPM, OEE, Lean Manufacturing are basic requirement

  • • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

  • • High responsibility, good human relationship

  • • Computer literate

  • • Good command of written and spoken English

  • • Strong analytical skills

  • • Knowledge of Law, Process Hazard Analysis or risk assessment and PSM etc.
