Schlumberger USL Automation Engineer in Houston, Texas

The Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, documenting, testing and deploying automated solutions to complex business processes within constraints such as development cost, product accuracy and time.

Roles and Responsabilities

  • Maintain automation host PCs and monitor the successful execution of automation products

  • Develop and configure programs, scripts and objects that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand

  • Work collaboratively with operational and technical teams to deliver projects by agreed upon deadlines

  • Ability to understand a business process and to conceptualize it as an automated solution

  • Ability to analyze business processes and recommend improvements and develop automated solutions around them

  • Create and maintain solution documentation

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years of experience.with any of Power BI, Power Automate, Python or R scripting.

  • Knowledge of RStudio or similar IDE

  • A track record in the successful delivery and support of Excel macros, Visual Basic scripts or other configuration/scripting type technology

  • An aptitude for problem solving

  • Knowledge of SAP a plus

  • Knowledge of relational databases a plus (MySQL and MSSQL)

The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.

  • At SLB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at/near the top of the range. The anticipated salary range for this position is $80k - $115k
