Home Depot SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETER in Houston, Texas

Position Purpose:

The Social Media Marketer helps our consumers learn about our brands, increases our visibility through online communities and engaged conversation, ultimately driving traffic and promoting purchase consideration through our owned channels. This person will manage content for GCC/Blinds.com across social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, and other emerging mediums. They will assist in social media strategic collaboration, content planning and creation, content writing, live experiences, community/online reputation management, and many more exciting projects!

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 40% Support community management by engaging with customers in comments, messages, etc. and interacting with leaders/influencers in home décor space to grow our following. Supports outreach with social influencers and Real Authentic and Genuine content to be leveraged throughout the omnichannel marketing experience.

  • 30% Responsible for social media content execution to support new customer acquisition and engagement. Collaborates with Brand & Content team and owns ad-hoc content creation in platform, including but not limited to photo, audio, & video editing, content formatting, scheduling and supporting paid advertising.

*20% Measure and optimize content strategy and creative formats based on social analytics and performance metrics. Provide recommendation and findings to internal stakeholders from A/B testing and content reviews.

*10% Identify social media trends and best practices by conducting competitor audits, internal/external research, continuing education, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Communications or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in Marketing, Social Media or Marketing Content Creation for ecommerce and/or B2C brand.

  • Demonstrated competencies with organic & paid content across various social media platforms including, but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, X (Twitter), YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit, etc.

  • Social media marketing and optimization skills. Execution of paid media campaigns such as: media planning, budgeting, A/B testing, reporting

  • Experience with content editing software and applications, like Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, InShot, CapCut, etc.

  • Excellent communication and writing skills, both written and verbal with strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in social community management and moderation, including managing brand SOV, comments, reviews, mentions, etc.

  • Experience with social listening tools/dashboards like Sprinklr, Hootsuite, etc.

  • Proficient in social media performance and data reporting.

  • Preferred skills (Bonus Points):

  • Certifications and credentials in social media management, digital marketing, etc.

  • Shooting and/or editing video content using various equipment (DSLR, iPhone, etc.)

  • Comfortability with creating VOs (voiceovers), trending audio, appearing in 'live' experiences, etc.
