Catholic Health Initiatives Director Philanthropy in Houston, Texas

The Director of Philanthropy will be responsible for financial, operations (Including Donor Database), office and possibly some board administrative management in support of the Philanthropic operations of the Foundation for multiple hospitals.

* Will provide strategic guidance and direction for the Grant Acquisition process.

* This Director will be writing private, corporate, foundation and government grants

* Interact with programatic management and senior leaders to acquire necessary information for all grants.

* Engaging internal & external community constituents to explore grant opportunities.

* MUST have a proven track record of managing the grant process and relationships amongst internal & external constituents

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages all financial systems, audits, budgeting, data collection systems and training, accounting processes, grant administration processes, and related activities.

  • Directs and manages all foundation-specific donor database management services related to donations and funds related to grants.

  • Directs, organizes and manages grant acquisition process for ongoing support as well as major comprehensive campaigns in Houston market, including for BSLMC.

  • Identify and recognize external opportunities that present viable funding opportunities and match organizational and campaign goals.

  • Direct, lead and secure funding through grant submissions for private and corporate foundations and government funds.

  • Manages and directs engagement with internal and external constituents including but not limited to board members, physicians, senior leadership, community leaders and philanthropists, and clinical program leaders and staff.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in philanthropy operations for a not-for-profit organization.

Minimum of five (5) years of management experience.

Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and/or additional job-related experience may be

substituted in lieu of the degree.

Pay Range

$56.83 - $82.40 /hour
