Responsibilities:

  • This position will oversee the product development and deployment of fiber-based catalytic products by collaborating with R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering and New Business Development teams.

  • Design and manage fabrication of a prototype as required for proof-of-concept. Participate in new product development and continuous improvement of existing products.

  • Reviews customers’ application needs (e.g., conversions, pressure drop) and recommend specific engineered product solutions to meet those needs.

  • Provides technical support, working directly with customers to understand specific technical requirements, installation issues, and ultimately recommend appropriate products meeting customer KPIs to enable sales.

  • Develops innovative solutions to complex problems and solicits creative concepts from other.

  • Prepares product specifications, cost estimates and commercial proposals to present to customers by closely working with R&D and New Business Development (NBD) team.

  • Knowledge or experience of emission control technologies such as Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) for NOx mitigation and CO/HC/VOC oxidations including product and compliance requirements is highly desired.

  • Works collaboratively with employees across multiple functions and departments including Customer Service, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and R&D.

  • The incumbent is expected to perform the duties Living the Alkegen’s Values of Safety, Ethics, People, Commitment, Customer Focus, Innovation, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork, and Speed and Agility.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university is required.

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical project lead role aligned with development and implementation of new catalytic products.

  • Experience in catalyst material development, testing/validation and commercialization is necessary.

  • Ability to apply engineering principles to solve complex problems with strong attention to details.

  • Self-starter able to bring tasks and projects through to completion and prioritize own workload.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work together with cross-function team including employees and management.

  • Ability to travel as needed, potentially up to 20%.
