Job Description
David Weekley Homes is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Associate to join the Accounting team at our Houston home office near 610 & Katy Freeway. If you are highly motivated and want to be a team player, we have an opportunity for you.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Process checks and electronic payments
Print checks
Run back charge/return reports
Review checks
Sort for signatures and special handling requests
Verifying checks through the bank system; stop payment
Void and reissue checks
Run Positive Pay reports and submit to the bank daily
Review and process credit card transactions
Review and process electronic expense reports
Respond to internal and external customers questions
Review and enter invoices
Check for required approvals
PO match in JDE
Miscellaneous general & administrative (GAAP)
Run SubPay and GAAP processes
Other special projects
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years Accounts Payable or equivalent work experience
Microsoft Excel experience and proficiency
Ability to manage time and work effectively with high transactional volume
Accuracy and attention to detail a must
Self-starter, adaptable, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good listener, able to resolve customer/vendor issues
High level of integrity, energy and organization
Team player with a positive, “willing to do whatever it takes” attitude
