Sodexo is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to work 8 hours/week (flex schedule & benefits!) for Bethany Village located in Horseheads, NY, about 30 miles outside of Ithaca. Working with a fulltime dietetic technician, this RD will provide nutrition services to Bethany Nursing Home and Health Related Facility, Inc ("Bethany Manor").

Bethany Manor consists of 120 beds that are designated to provide 24-hour nursing care and short-term rehabilitation. There are also two respite beds. Residents are provided with appropriate services and a full range of recreational activities. Bethany Manor is available to persons 16 years of age and older who are in need of rehabilitative or continuous nursing and personal care as determined by a physician. It provides services for Medicaid and/or Medicare recipients as well as private pay residents.

Working with a fulltime Dietetic Technician, the successful candidate will:

• provide nutritional care to the long-term care residents and sub-acute rehab patients;

• meet DOH/state/federal and company standards;

• be an active member of the interdisciplinary care conferences;

• represent the Food & Nutrition Department as a liaison with the medical and nursing staff; and/or

• support the food service operation as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire

Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
