Snelling Traveling Field Service Technician in Homewood, Alabama
Snelling is seeking a talentedField Service Technicianto join a diverse team for a company in the Alabaster area. This is a permanent position with a starting salary of $55,000-65,000, doe. This position will service North America and will be based out of Alabaster, AL.
Job Duties include but are not limited to for Field Service Technician:
- Will inspect, service, and repair equipment in the field without direct supervision and provide written service reports from field findings.
- Conducts customer training on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Provide after-sale technical support and service, as required.
- Will be responsible for facility and grounds maintenance.
- Will assist in shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Will work closely with international parent companys employees.
Qualifications Required for Field Service Technician:
- 2-3 yearsof service experience, preferably in a maintenance field
- Good level of technical aptitude including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Proficient and diplomatic with oral and written communication with customers.
- Proficient in programming for PLCs and HMIs (Primarily Allen Bradley and Siemens controllers)
- Ability to capture and transmit digital pictures via e-mail.
Travel/Hours:
- 1st shift schedule
- 40% travel required
- Willing to work irregular hours including weekends if required.
- Has a passport or is willing to get one.
- Willing to travel internationally, as required.
