The full-time Controller position is situated in the Hollister, California area. If you can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff, you might be right for this position.   • Able to perform additional tasks beyond formal job duties

  • Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required

  • Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team

  • Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible

  • Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection

  • Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

  • Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

  • Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly

  • Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports

  • Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

  • Experience with Direct Supervision

  • Budget management experience highly preferred

  • Background working with Budget Processes

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Analyze Financial Statements

  • Adeptness in Annual Budget

  • Proficiency in general ledger

  • Practical knowledge of Budget Constraints

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Annual Operating Budget

  • Direct Supervision experience preferred

  • Command of Annual Audited Financial Statements

  • General familiarity with Approved Budgets

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

  • Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • Great attention to detail

  • Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required

  • Vow to meet business deadlines

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
