JOB OVERVIEW

 

The AGM COS Unloader is responsible for loading books into the magazine, which supplies the books to the COS machine. The AGM COS Unloader is also responsible for adjustments within the COS machine, the addition of lead, tin and flux as needed and drossing of the small and large lead pots.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Successfully complete training as an AGM COS Unloader operator.
  • Conduct all required quality tests within indicated timelines and record results.
  • Intermediate troubleshooting skills.
    • Includes making manual and computerized adjustments to COS equipment, inspection and replacement of COS molds and adjustments to lead pumps.
  • Prioritization and problem solving skills.
  • Visually assess output of equipment to identify potential quality concerns.
  • Address all quality issues observed, in partnership with supervision, quality team and maintenance.
  • Communicate with AGM COS Inspector and Welder to make needed adjustments to produce quality product.
  • Ability to manage time.
    • Includes utilizing downtime to identify lower priority tasks that can be accomplished, such as but not limited to: minor repairs, BAEs, departmental housekeeping, restocking of low inventory items throughout AGM COS.
  • Follow published escalation and stop point procedures to minimize scrap and downtime.
  • Accurately record and dispose of scrap.
  • Perform BAEs as indicated by work instructions.
  • Participate in preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Actively participate in lean enterprise initiatives to improve business processes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal form.
  • Perform tasks as assigned, which may include tasks not listed.

     

     

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES
