Jacobs Water Engineer in Holladay, Utah

We are looking for the best and brightest talent to join our Water team in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our team of technologists and project managers serves the top water supply clients in Utah and throughout the West. We specialize in helping water providers and users characterize future supplies and demands, model and plan raw and treated water infrastructure, design and support construction of new and retrofit water infrastructure. Our team supports key clients such as Central Utah Water Conservancy District (CUWCD), Park City Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Salt Lake City Water Utilities, and more.

As a valued Jacobs employee, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of water infrastructure and supply projects including alternatives evaluations, water supply and demand planning, treatment alternatives analysis, conveyance and treatment infrastructure design, and permitting strategy development. Every member of our team supports business development and project management efforts and helps in the pursuit of new projects and developing long-term client relationships, as well as working directly with clients on the projects and tasks that they are supporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (or similar) from an ABET accredited university.

• 2+ years’ experience in water treatment design, engineering services during construction, and/or hydraulic analysis skills.

• Demonstrated understanding of water resources engineering and planning.

• Entrepreneurial drive for excellence in project delivery, ensuring consistent high-quality in work products, and awareness of project schedule and budget requirements.

• Desire to live locally in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have: 

• Master’s degree in a water resources or treatment-related field.

• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification

• Engineering field experience and/or water plant commissioning experience.
