Job Purpose and Impact

The position will interpret complex regulations as they apply to products, practices and procedures in the assigned country or region. In this role, you will investigate and resolve complex compliance problems, questions or complaints received from other units of the company, customers and government regulatory agencies. You will develop strategy for pro-active advocacy, assess the risk and opportunities related to regulations, influence changes and effect pertinent changes in your country or region of coverage.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure products comply with regulations and laws and work with regulatory agencies to provide guidance and advice.

• Examine current regulations and assess and prioritize emerging trends in regulations; food and feed safety and quality to determine the current and potential medium-term impacts.

• Provide thought leadership in Regulatory and Scientific Affairs area in the region including midterm and long-term emerging issues.

• Inform and advise leaders on regulatory issues and changes that could potentially affect the business or the company's freedom to operate.

• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or engineering fields

• In-depth knowledge of food ingredients; animal feed; feed additives and/or chemical related regulations

• Experienced in product registration of food ingredients; food; feed and feed additives and/ or chemicals.

• Minimum of 5-8 years of related work experience

• Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

• 7-10 years of related work experience

• Experienced in navigating and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders
