Our Electron Microscopy business enables customers to find meaningful answers to questions that accelerate breakthrough discoveries, increase efficiency, and ultimately change the world. The EM business designs, manufactures, and supports the broadest range of high-performance microscopy workflows that provide images and answers in the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales.

Location: 100% onsite Hillsboro, Oregon

The Mission

The Americas NanoPort team runs an innovative Electron Microscopy and Surface Analysis Centre of Excellence, supporting account managers and external Thermo Fisher Scientific customers in the Sciences and Industry markets. Key goals of the team are to deliver high-quality Customer Applications Training and Support, and to conduct carefully prepared Product and Workflow Demonstrations.

What will you do?

  • Actively initiate and participate in PPI projects in close collaboration and coordination with the NanoPort management team.

  • Draft, implement, and maintain marketing materials, including website maintenance.

  • Follow and implement the latest guidance from the Thermo Fisher Compliance team regarding sample receiving, tracking, and return shipping (both domestically and internationally).

  • Responsible for the coordination and timely support of NanoPort customer meetings and events, as well as internal workshops.

  • Act as a functional backup of the NanoPort Customer Training Manager, as required.

How Will You Get Here?

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years experience in a multinational- and multicultural- team is required.

  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where rapid decisions must be made.

  • Customer-focused with phenomenal attention to detail, a high level of integrity, and the initiative to identify, pinpoint and tackle problems that arise.

  • Has a proactive demeanor with excellent planning and calendar organizational skills is required, including the ability to coordinate customer events.

  • Prioritize multiple tasks, and use good judgment under timelines are required, for the successful achievement of their daily work.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Business proficiency in English (both oral and written) is required.
