Role and Responsibilities:

If you are excited about advanced development of breakthrough technologies for future-generation CPU cores, we invite you to join us to do something wonderful. This role involves overseeing definition, design, verification, and documentation for SoC (System on a Chip) development, determining architecture design, logic design, and system simulation, defining module interfaces/formats for simulation, performing Logic design for integration of cell libraries, functional units and subsystems into SoC full chip designs. We are specifically looking for someone with experience designing the out-of-order portion of high performance CPUs.

You will be participating actively in the definition of architecture and microarchitecture features of the CPU being designed, applying various strategies, tools, and methods to write RTL and optimize logic to qualify the design to meet power, performance, area, and timing goals as well as design integrity for physical implementation, reviewing the verification plan and implementation to ensure design features are verified correctly and resolving and implementing corrective measures for failing RTL tests to ensure correctness of features.

The CPU RTL Design Engineer should possess the following attributes:

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent and 4+ years of experience -OR- Masters in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent and 3+ years of experience.

  • Experience working in CPU design.

  • Experience coding and verifying system Verilog.

  • Experience working in OOO design in high performance CPUs.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with Allocation, Renaming, Scheduling and Retirement.

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
