Sartorius HR Business Partner (F/H) in Herstal, Belgium

We are looking for a HRBP to join a dynamic team at Xpress Biologics – Part of Sartorius. This position is based in Herstal (Belgium).

As an HRBP, you will be responsible for implementing the group HR policies and tools locally in the frame of the ongoing integration of Xpress Biologics into the Sartorius Group. You will also be a member of the Local Management Team (LMT) and develop the HR strategies by taking into account the specificities of the Belgian labor market. Finally, you will support the other group companies located in Belgium and in the Netherlands on various HR topics (compensation & benefits, law & regulation, relationships with trade unions…).

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities:

Interface between the Group and the local entity

  • You will implement defined and global initiatives, especially concerning Management Cycle, Talent roadmap and Growth Journey tools

  • You will support and contribute to the development of the Line Managers in their leadership role (performance management, talent management, workforce planning, training needs definition, identification of high potentials…)

  • You will execute the local roll-out of diversity, corporate culture, change management…

  • Regarding compensation & benefits, you will discuss pay strategy, conduct job evaluation with functional heads with newly created roles with support from Shared Service Center / Centers of Expertise and analyze data from salary survey, provide insights to line managers for decision-making

Local HR strategies and Belgian labor market

  • You will develop HR strategies and lead HR projects in collaboration with the group HR department in order to be competitive on the local labor market with the aim to attract and retain talents. As a member of the LMT, you will be involved in the global strategy of the company

  • In terms of recruitment, you will support the business in local workforce planning, anticipate/evaluate and coordinate local recruiting needs, support in profile definition of new positions and in final interview and selection process for critical positions, double check proposal and employment contract

  • You will supervise the payroll and administrative management of the employees including the data quality in Workday

  • You will manage the entire entry & exit processes

  • You will support the managers in any HR-related topics

  • You will ensure the compliance with the Belgian labor law, regulation, collective agreements…

  • You will manage the relationship with the trade unions: implementation of the social elections, management of and participation to the workers’ council meetings…and be responsible for the communication to the external communities / networks: press releases, attendance to job fairs…

  • You will be in charge of the fleet management

  • You will initiate team building activities and execute employee engagement initiatives to support, foster and emphasize company culture

Support to the other group companies located in Belgium

  • In Belgium, you will work on aligning as much as possible the other group companies with Xpress Biologics regarding all the local HR aspects

What will convince us:

  • Bachelor / Master degree in HR

  • Relevant experience in an HR department within a large corporation and in the relationship management with the trade unions

  • Excellent knowledge of the Belgian social legislation and ideally, knowledge of the biotechnology sector (CP207)

  • Ability to work under pressure, organize and comply with tight deadlines

  • Autonomous, rigorous and team player

  • Strong emphasis on the confidentiality respect

  • Fluent in English. The knowledge of Dutch is an asset

  • Mastery of the Office Suite and social networks (e.g. LinkedIn)
