Job Summary:

This position will function as part of a team that provides server administration, performs upgrade and system testing, server hardware/software maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting, server/application backups, and compliance documentation. In addition, this role provides dedicated support to enterprise end-users in a timely and professional manner. This person will work directly with management and engineering team peers, ensuring compliance with IT security policies and best practices. An ideal candidate will have a solid work ethic and the communication skills necessary to convey technology guidance.

Must be eligible for a Secret security clearance and pass criminal, background, and credit checks.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs, builds, and manages enterprise baselines in a multi-tiered and highly available framework.

  • Troubleshoots complex network problems associated with hybrid applications and databases.

  • Works with security response teams during security incidents and participates in site security audits.

  • Works with the telephony team and VoIP technologies.

  • Performs on call duties on evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills while interacting with end users.

  • Good writing skills capable of creating process and procedure documentation. Contributes to continuous improvement recommendations.

  • Ability to work as a team member on solutions to a variety of complex technical problems.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology or equivalent education and experience

  • Five years’ experience in Windows Server administration.

  • Knowledge of server hardware, systems components, capacity, and systems performance management.

  • Proficient with Windows Server 2016 and later.

  • Hypervisor knowledge including VMware and Hyper-V.

  • Experience administering Microsoft SCCM/Intune and Hybrid endpoint management.

  • Proficient with Windows 10 and later Windows operating systems.

  • Basic knowledge of Linux.

  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Be physically capable of lifting 50 Lbs.

  • Some travel to other offices may be required (less than 25%).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Firewall Management, Policy, and Troubleshooting experience is a plus.

  • ITIL/Microsoft certifications are a plus.

  • Experience with provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise cloud and hybrid environments. (Office365, Azure, VMware on AWS).

  • Experience with implementation of NIST 800-171 security controls.

  • Azure/AWS Certifications are a plus.
