My client is seeking a Staff Accountant with real estate experience to assist their day-to-day operations, in their Herndon, VA office. The ideal person for the Staff Accountant position will have had experience preparing monthly financial reports, experience with preparing appropriate journal entries and an overall understanding of accounting for real estate in compliance with US GAAP. Daily responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include:

· Prepare monthly financial reports.

· Prepare appropriate journal entries.

· Reconcile various balance sheet accounts.

· Research real estate accounting principles.

· Ensure company is in compliance with regulatory agencies.

Requirements

The ideal Staff Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:

· 2+ years of accounting experience.

· Experience with real estate accounting.

· Knowledge of US GAAP.

· Proficient with Microsoft Excel.

· Performs well in team setting.
