Purpose of Role:

Provide on-site software and hardware support for our healthcare customers across WA. To carry out repairs, preventative maintenance, and performance testing and electrical safety testing of company related electro-medical equipment. The engineer will be the point of contact for Medical Systems customers, electronic servicing of equipment, and spare parts and technical information. Responsible for ensuring adherence to department health and safety procedures. Collect data and provide daily, monthly and weekly KPI reports to the customer. ​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repairing Customers instruments on site and as required offsite for maintenance contracts.

  • Provide technical sales support, including performing workflow and system reviews as part of the implementation process.

  • Perform routine and breakdown maintenance as required.

  • Plan, schedule and communicate Preventative Maintenance visits and breakdown visits to fit in with the customers’ requirements. Comply with Preventative Maintenance, service agreement and support SOP’s.

  • Monitor cases between TSC and customer for assigned sites. Escalate and manage as required.

  • Use established tools to ensure all devices are kept updated with the latest Antivirus files, and all required Microsoft Security Patches according to established policy.

  • Escalate to Project Manager & Operational Lead WA any potential issues, customer complaints or task requiring special skills or resources.

  • Identify potential sales/ contract opportunities and communicate as appropriate.

  • Participate in the after hour’s roster of service/application issues, to all service orders received within the guaranteed response time, and properly close the orders per company policy.

  • Provide after sales telephone backup service for customers including spare part enquiries communicating in a polite and effective manner.

  • Maintain company confidentially in all dealings with customers and product knowledge.

  • Available to travel and work interstate as requested.

  • Responsible for setting and agreeing individual personal objectives with your manager and actively participating in the performance appraisal of those objectives.

Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to understand information accurately and to thus focus/ prioritize the team as appropriate.

  • Experience working in the Medtech, FMCG or manufacturing setting welcome to apply.

  • Strong technical knowledge, interpersonal/negotiation skills, as well as time management, ability to direct and support as appropriate.

  • Ability to identify potential issues/complaints and escalate as appropriate.

  • Strong customer communication skills and management of customer expectations preferably in hospital setting

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively alone and without direct supervision.

  • Minimum education requirements:

  • Electronics/computing Trades Certificate, engineering certificate/diploma or degree preferred.

  • Understanding of computers and assigned software (Windows 7 and Windows 10)
