Your day to day

If you'd like to embrace a wider world of experiences and opportunities, we'd like to welcome you to the world's most international luxury hotel brand as the on Island Mechanic a key role in our dynamic live on island team who looking after the island's plant and utilities. Reporting to the Engineering Management, this role ensures all necessary repairs and preventative maintenance are carried out on all vehicles and mechanical equipment within both the resort, construction and colleague village areas.

Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Repairing and maintaining all guest and service vehicles of the resort

• Maintaining all vehicles per the Schedules with tasks on the HardCat

• Performing all administration requirements pertaining to your role, including HardCat service records and maintenance schedules

• Executing the preventative maintenance strategy in place

• Ensuring all tasks required are executed to maintain compliance with state and commonwealth legislation, and local council laws

• Assisting in any after hour emergencies that may arise around resort vehicles

• Working as needed to assist the wider Engineering team

What we need from you

• Trade qualification in Automotive Engineering,

• Queensland General Safety Induction Card (White Card) and current open driver's licence.

• An understanding of Microsoft Office, Email and other reporting tools like HUB, HotSOS and HardCat. In addition to general engineering tools and hand tools.

• have a sound knowledge in vehicle electric diagnosis and hydraulic operations, with marine vessel experience a plus.
