Kelly Services Senior Quality Engineer in Havre De Grace, Maryland

Kelly® Engineering is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for an excellent 1 year contract position with a leader experiencing dynamic growth in Havre De Grace, MD. This position offers the opportunity to work with a high quality product, a payrate up to $65 per hour based on experience and a positive team environment. The Senior Quality Engineer will improve product and process quality at the Havre de Grace site. This will include technical and project support to improve Customer Satisfaction levels, reduce cost of poor quality and minimize quality risks that could result in lost revenue, high consequence quality escapes or negative impact to the company’s reputation.

Senior Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with site leadership and Global Quality to identify and address improvement opportunities,

  • Provide project support to drive the execution of key functional projects identified to improve quality systems in Havre de Grace,

  • Provide leadership and oversight of RCCA’s to ensure the corrective actions are timely, robust and effective

  • Actively lead and participate in quality risk assessments and audits. Ensure timely, effective address of findings

  • Update work instructions and support site system changes,

  • Position will handle ITAR and NIST controlled documentation along with Customer proprietary information.

Senior Quality Engineer Requirements:

  • 5 years minimum working knowledge as a Quality Engineer (or equivalent) within a manufacturing environment

  • Working knowledge of AS-9100/ISO-9000 Quality Management systems

  • Experience with APQP methods, tools and application preferred.

  • Experience working or auditing to ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards.

  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis – statistical and inductive/deductive reasoning.

  • Working knowledge of DMAIC problem solving including 8D and FMEA methods.
