Lafayette Glass Company Architectural Designer in Hauppauge, New York
Hauppauge, NY, architectural metal and glass company seeks an Architectural Designer to produce and review fabrication drawings utilizing AutoCAD, Inventor, and other software; draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects; provide redlines, direction, and support for Drafting and Production departments as required to ensure quality control and compliance with approved shop drawings, fabrication, and installation requirements; assist DFO, Field Superintendents, and Foreman as assigned with field measurements & project layouts to ensure the integrity of fabrication drawings; analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs; submit fabrication drawings to supervisors for review and approval; coordinate structural, electrical, and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation to graphically represent building plans; daily travel to worksites throughout New York City and Long Island is required. REQ: Bachelor’s in Architecture or related field + 2 years of experience.
