Job Summary
The position accompanies major level dance classes in the School of Performing and Visual Arts. Class assignments are made each semester by the Director of the school. Undergraduate students and non-students are able to apply.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Musical accompaniment for dance technique classes.
Working collaboratively with faculty member in accompaniment.
Showing up on time and prepared for all assigned times.
Loading and storing equipment and instruments as necessary.
Entering time worked online.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to provide percussion and/or piano accompaniment. Ability to improvise. Ability to work collaboratively with dance class instructor and other musicians.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Musical knowledge and training.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in dance class accompaniment.
