How will you make an impact in this role?

APAC Technologies is the team that serves as technological partners for 9 Asian markets. In this role you will be working as CTO for American Express Banking Corporation (India) working with senior leadership to enable business for future growth.

Responsible for contacting clients with overdue accounts to secure the settlement of the account. Also, they do preventive work to avoid future overdue with accounts that have a high exposure.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Developing strategies for advancing partnerships, technology platforms, and external relationships in line with business goals

  • Provide strategic advice, stay informed about industry trends, offer technology-related insights, and contribute to the company's decision-making processes.

  • Ensuring compliance with American Express InformationTechnologystandardsandapplicable government regulations.

  • Collaborating closely with executive leadership, business units head, and stakeholders to understand their technology needs and drive technology-enabled business initiatives.

  • Create a high performance, innovative, collaborative, continuous learning and improving technology culture.

  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including partners/vendors & government organizations.

  • Identify and track technology-related opportunities and risks for delivering the company’s services including technology.

  • Partnering with Information security organization for development and implementation of IT & Cyber security policies,programs &procedures

  • Managing relationships with technology vendors and partners, evaluating, and selecting the most suitable solutions and services.

  • Establish and maintain efficient governance on reliable technology operations, including systems infrastructure, network, data management and security protocols for high performance, uptime and data integrity.

  • Chair and participate in Bank committees.

  • Providing strong leadership and guidance to the technology teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

  • Facilitate any internal and external audits related to information technology.

  • Make presentations to the board of directors, bank committees and CEO.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field required; advanced degree preferred.

  • 15 years of experience as a technology officer or in a similar senior technology leadership role, preferably in the Indian market.

  • Demonstrated success in managing IT infrastructure, IT budgets, software development and systems architecture.

  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into effective technology strategies.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing technology teams.

  • Deeper understanding of India market, relevant laws, and regulations. Rich experience in supporting audits.

  • Strong leadership skills to manage multiple departments and teams with Effective communication skills to translate complex documents and technical matters to stakeholders and non-technical staff.

  • Ability to build appropriate environments to foster talents, innovation, and delivery of effective development strategies.

  • Experience in multiple technology disciplines in a business environment with a shown understanding of architectural concepts (business, data, and application), issues and trends

  • Extensive experience using systems analysis and design methodology that is applicable to an agile product environment.

  • Applicable industry certification (TOGAF, BAIP, Cloud Certifications, etc.)
