How will you make an impact in this role?

• Serving as a core member of an agile team that leads user story analysis and elaboration, designs and develops software applications.

• Writing code and unit tests, automation, and conducting code reviews and testing.

• Find opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges.

• Performing ongoing refactoring of code, using visualization and other techniques to fast-track concepts, and delivering continuous improvement.

• Working with product managers to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and handling a list of software requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues.

• Handle your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team.

• Quickly generate and updating proof of concepts for testing and team feedback.

• Adopt emerging standards while promoting best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:-

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of professional Java development experience.

• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and familiarity with NoSQL databases like Couchbase.

• Extensive experience in developing and managing RESTful APIs.

• Proficient in stream processing with Apache Kafka.

• In-depth experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially Jenkins, and familiarity with other tools in the industry.

• Strong skills in using GitHub for version control, including advanced features like branching, merging, pull requests, and conflict resolution.

• Profound knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.

• Solid experience in unit testing, debugging, and writing maintainable code.

• Capability in designing efficient data models and optimizing database performance.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a robust understanding of algorithms and data structures.

• Knowledge or experience in reactive programming, especially using Vert.x, is a significant plus.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
