Description

The Hartford's Enterprise Data Service (EDS) organization is seeking a Business Analysis Manager to lead the Group Benefit Claims Business Intelligence team. The GB BI Claims team provides data and reporting solutions to business customers across Field Claims, Performance Analytics, Segment partners and supporting functions leveraging tools and technologies in a modern Cloud data ecosystem. The Business Analysis manager role will lead a team of Business Analysts and serve as a delivery lead for a high performing Agile scrum team.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the Group Benefit product lines and a strong background in Agile, Cloud based data technologies and leading business intelligence tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of BI analysts and developers in the development and maintenance of BI solutions including data assets, reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to data consumers

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the GB Claims organization to understand business needs and translate them into actionable BI initiatives

  • Help develop and implement BI best practices, standards and guidelines leveraging a modern Cloud tech stack to ensure the accuracy, consistency and reliability of BI solutions.

  • Work collaboratively with Agile Product Owners and internal stakeholders to manage and prioritize the team's workload, ensuring timely delivery of BI projects and initiatives

  • Measure and drive adaption of the appropriate use of key data and reporting solutions

  • Continually identify opportunities to enhance the data capabilities for GB Claims

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of The Hartford’s Group Benefit claims processes and products

  • Proven experience in building and foster business relationships at all levels of the organization and leading cross functional teams to solve problems and drive execution

  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau and Thoughtspot as well as SQL and data warehousing concepts

  • Experience with AWS, Python, Python / PySpark preferred

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills with the ability to present complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience working in Agile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics or related field. Master's degree preferred

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$103,760 - $155,640
