DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a State Dog Warden, your duties will include enforcing the PA Dog Law (Act 18), Rabies law (Act 181), and other relevant statutes. You will inspect dogs for licensing compliance, investigate complaints about dogs running loose, handle dog bite cases, and impose quarantines for public safety. Additionally, you will investigate damage claims to livestock caused by dogs, look into illegal dog transportation or killing, research unlicensed kennels, and address complaints about inhumane kennel conditions by conducting thorough investigations and issuing reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. This position will be home headquartered if applicant lives in Jefferson or Elk County. If applicant does not live in Jefferson or Elk County, the assigned state vehicle must be parked in one of these counties. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience in dog law enforcement, animal control, animal welfare, or animal science work; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Special Requirements:
