Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Maintenance Support Intern (College) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will assist the Bureau of Maintenance with implementing modernization of policies and trainings. This will be achieved through creating new training modules in PowerPoint form, updating of existing training modules, and through creating and moving files within the bureau's Sharepoint site, which contains important maintenance policies, a calendar of trainings and events, and other resources utilized by DOT field staff members. Students with experience in creating or working within Sharepoint sites are encouraged to apply!
Work Schedule and Additional Information: Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. Interns will be headquartered at the DOT office closest to their residence. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: Must be a high school graduate or college student enrolled (or intending to enroll) on a full-time basis in a 2- or 4- year post-secondary education program for the fall semester You must be in good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher). You must be at least 18 years of age. Special Requirement: Certain positions require verification of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License
Preferred Majors (not required): Business Administration Information Technology
Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
