The Insurance Department, Bureau of Financial Examinations office is seeking a highly dedicated Insurance Company Examination Director to join our team of professionals. This position gives you the opportunity to plan, direct, staff, and coordinate financial examinations of Pennsylvania domestic insurance companies to determine compliance with state insurance laws, regulations, and National Association of Insurance Commissioners ("NAIC") requirements. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will be responsible for directing, scheduling, and staffing financial examinations of insurance companies for financial solvency and compliance with insurance laws, rules, and regulations, as set forth in the NAIC Financial Condition Examiners Handbook. Work includes analyzing reports, making sound regulatory and financial solvency recommendations and conclusions, as well as reviewing memos, supervisory plans, and other documents prepared by Bureau staff. You will have the opportunity to direct overall group coordination examination activities for insurers, meet with insurance company officials and representatives, and conduct training in accordance with guidelines set forth by the NAIC. Effective communication and possessing a thorough knowledge of department policies and procedures are key aspects of this position as you will be corresponding closely with the Bureaus of Financial Analysis and Company Licensing and representing the Commissioner and Deputy Insurance Commissioner at various meetings and conferences.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Hork hours may be flexible based on operational needs. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Insurance Company Examination Manager; or Seven years of professional accounting, auditing, or examining experience, including four years supervising insurance accounting or insurance company examination work; and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Graduate course work in accounting, insurance or business administration may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis. Additional Requirements: You must possess either an active, retired, or inactive Certified Financial Examiner Certification; or An active, retired, or inactive Certified Public Account License. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
