Reference #: 4471788 THE POSITION Are you a motivated professional with a strong IT background? The Health and Human Services (HHS) IT Delivery Center is seeking an Information Technology Generalist 1 to join our team. This position will give you the opportunity to provide end-to-end IT services to all staff in the Department of Human Services (DHS), the Department of Health (DOH), the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP), and the Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA). Share your excellent problem-solving and attention to detail skills with our team of professionals in this key role. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position provides first contact technical support to users in Department of Health and Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs for desktop hardware, software and network communication related issues. The incumbent provides technical assistance via phone calls to the Service Desk and/or email notifications from internal and external customers. You will be responsible for documenting call information, following standard procedures, assisting with diagnosis, and troubleshooting hardware and software problems.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may be expected to work from home (telework) full-time. You will be required to report to the headquarters office once a month. You must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Parking is located at the building andis free. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician; or Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
