The Department of Human Services (DHS), Bureau of Policy, Planning, and Program Development (BPPPD) within the Office of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) is looking for a Human Services Analyst to make a meaningful impact in the field of mental health and substance abuse services. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will report directly to the section chief of planning, and perform professional work related to planning, administration, and monitoring of federal initiatives and funding sources. Your responsibilities include establishing and monitoring priorities and outcome measures for federal grants and funding initiatives, particularly focusing on the federal Community Mental Health Services Block Grant (CMHSBG), in collaboration with grant program lead staff. You will utilize grant management software and other tools with a strong understanding of the behavioral health service system and relevant laws and regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You are required to report to the office in Harrisburg one (1) day per month and on as needed basis. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs; and a bachelor's degree;or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
