Reference #: 4434834 THE POSITION Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your organizational and detail-oriented skills?  The Department of Education is seeking a Clerical Assistant 2 to provide vital office support to the State Board of Private Licensed Schools under the Division of Law Enforcement Education and Trade Schools.  Join our supportive team environment and ensure office operations are as efficient and effective as possible!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform a wide-range of clerical duties which will support and enable the division to provide quality services to the board and licensed/registered schools.

You will engage in a variety of tasks while following office procedures, using relevant systems, and interacting in a courteous and professional manner in-person and via telephone and email.  Relevant systems include Excel, Word, Outlook, proprietary databases and applications, and general office copiers and scanners.

Utilize your interpersonal strengths and computer skills to perform various office functions including meeting organization, travel expense submission, document and correspondence creation, data entry, scanning, answering incoming calls, and responding to email and voice mail messages.  The responsibilities of this position are carried out under the supervision of the Division Chief.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week upon successful completion of the training period.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
