DESCRIPTION OF WORK Some of the duties of this position include the following: Delivers incoming mail from the USPS correctly and accurately to the various agencies that Publications provides services on behalf of.  Picks-up outgoing mail from various agencies that Publications provides services. Perform the route(s) in a timely and efficient manner according to LEAN practices. Stage mail correctly at the proper machine depending's on the type of processing the mail requires. Stage mail requiring postage at the meter machine in the agencies designated location, unless other arrangements have been approved. Sign for and receive certified and registered mail at the US Post Offices. Sort incoming interoffice mail accurately after the route in the morning and at the end of day and hand-carry time-sensitive, confidential and special delivery mail. Accurately and in a timely manner deliver finished products to customers. Adhere to the mail pick-up times that have been predetermined by the customers. Utilize a state provided fleet vehicle in a safe manner and adhere to the driving rules and regulations and adhere to Commonwealth Fleet Procedures Manual MD 615.3 . Use of Commonwealth wireless device(s) and adhere to Commonwealth Wireless Communication Device Policy MD 240.11. Handling the gold secure bags transportation and or sorting to Brookwood and from Brookwood correctly when applicable. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $34,621 (before taxes). Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
