The Bureau of Air Quality is looking for an enthusiastic and qualified professional Air Quality Program Specialist to implement the Commonwealth's rules and regulations relative to the auditing and certification of continuous emission monitoring systems. To excel in this role, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks related to the installation, operation, and maintenance of continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS). These systems are crucial for conducting CEMS field system inspections and performance audits, and it will be your duty to ensure their proper functioning. Additionally, you will be conducting CEM workshops for facility owners and operators and DEP Regional Office personnel, where you will provide valuable insights into DEP rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Furthermore, you will represent DEP in meetings with company officials and the public, addressing any concerns or inquiries related to DEP. Lastly, you will be involved in the technical evaluation of companies' monitoring plan applications and the review of proposed test protocols.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Travel for site visits, meetings, and training is required. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience as an Air Quality Specialist; or

One year of experience as an Air Monitoring Program Supervisor; or

Three years of professional work in the control and abatement of air pollution and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or an environmental field closely related to Air Quality Management; or An equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
