DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer, you will be responsible for the oversight and management of the Employee Relations and Workforce Support Office's (ERWS) administrative functions. Work involves overseeing the productivity and accountability of staff and for the quality and quantity of the totality of the services provided. You will be assigning and reviewing work, answering questions or assisting the team in resolving problems, evaluating performance, establishing performance standards, setting priorities, reviewing leave requests, and ensuring that proper administrative coverage exists at all times. Additional responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Providing direct administrative support to the ERWS Director(s) Establishing budgetary controls and monitoring systems for the Bureau of Employee Relations (BER) and administering and monitoring BERs major contracts Developing, maintaining, and administering docketing procedures Coordinating administrative functions associated with the Bureau's contract negotiations Serving as a liaison for the Director(s) and the BER for any and all communications, inquiries, complaints, problems and services with internal and external agency staff Serving as the ERWS's Human Resource (HR) Representative, Right-to-Know Coordinator and records Liaison. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
