DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Assistant 1 you will perform a variety of staff assignments for the Director and assist the Office Manager in the overall management of the CEC.  This includes serving as the bureaus time and attendance administrator by recording and monitoring time and attendance for all staff, as well as inputting overtime and other pay processing information.  You will coordinate all personnel action requests, including post and fill vacancies, appointments, resignations, retirements, promotions, transfers, out-of-class pay assignments, and overtime.  This position is also responsible for monitoring office supplies and creating purchases orders to maintain adequate inventory.  You will coordinate and schedule meeting request and interviews as necessary.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
