Look no further, the Bureau of Library Development is seeking an Administrative Assistant 1 to complete our team. This position gives you the opportunity to perform paraprofessional work including planning, contracting, reviewing, monitoring, and analyzing multi-faceted, mandated statewide library funding. This includes federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) and state appropriations for the Library Services for the Visually Impaired and Disabled and Library Access. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Assistant, you will have the opportunity to collaborate in the planning and development of grant application processes, including guidelines, website content, and training. You will be serving as a liaison for the Bureau of Library Development with various Commonwealth offices in grant contract and payment routing. Effective communication is essential as you will be assisting in the development and presentation of virtual and in person training for grantees, team members, and other vested partners as related to the position's job duties. Additional responsibilities include: Assisting program advisors in resolving problems as they occur Instructing vendors in obtaining required contract identification so that agreements and payments can be processed Researching and gathering applicable information for all types of contracts for the Office of Commonwealth Libraries to ensure regulation compliance Uploading fully executed contracts to the PA Contracts e-Library page of the Pennsylvania Treasury Department website to insure transparency of government Performing administrative tasks as assigned Researching and verifying financial and contractual information Reconciling and reviewing fiscal reports for expenditure needs Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office the first Monday of every month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
