DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Administration and Management Trainee, you will serve a 12-month probationary period as you learn the duties of the position.  Upon successful completion of the probationary period, you will be promoted to a Human Resource Analyst 1.

This position provides consultative services to agency managers, supervisors, and human resource liaisons regarding the proper development and maintenance of position descriptions.  It runs reports to identify outdated position descriptions and works with supervisors or their designees to upload them, and creates template position descriptions for high-volume, agency-specific job titles. Additional duties include reviewing and processing supervisory change requests and processing criminal history background check requests.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. This position is eligible for an Alternate Work Schedule. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree, including 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
