IUPAT Compliance Specialist in Hanover, Maryland
Description/Job Summary

supervision and must multitask and prioritize a wide variety of assignments. The Compliance Specialist ensures all
departments under the Pension Fund are following guidelines set forth by the Pension Fund. Must monitor and
report on the effectiveness of current processes.
Responsibilities/Duties
Assist Compliance Manager in analyzing and verifying data records
Review existing process, practices, and procedures for all departments
Interface with other departments to understand current processes and identify inefficiencies
Study the root cause of the errors/inefficiencies occurring in each department by working with department managers and/or responsible staff to develop solutions
Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures/processes
Provide support services on administrative matters and special projects as assigned
Identify and report any exception, irregularities, and errors to respective department managers
Train others in performing the responsibilities of this classification, when requested
Perform all duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervision
Required Skills
Knowledge of employee benefits/pension industry preferred but not required
Computer literacy required
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Web Browser, and Email
Advanced written communication skills

Required Experience
Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience

College level education

Details
Normal office environment.
Forty (40) hours constitutes the regular work week. The work day consists of eight (8) hours with a half an hour ( ) or one (1) hour unpaid lunch break. The office is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours as necessary to fulfill required deadlines and the office mission.
